Philippe Gourdon describes himself as an explorer of light. His practice is in line with the lumino-kinetic movement, but unlike his predecessors he uses a digital approach to simulate light movements digitally, without resorting to the motorisations used in the past. His approach consists of animating lines of light, distorting and transforming them through multiple compositions. His works are in constant motion, evolving from simple forms to more complex assemblages to simulate a contemplative meditation that soothes the mind and transports us to another reality.
